I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Better Days Ministries. The very fact that you accessed this website shows that you care about your community and the plight of the human race and where it is headed. That is the first step towards helping make a difference…caring.

My name is Kewanna Bush and I am a local resident of Savannah, GA. I attended the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. I received a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Fort Valley State University in 1995. In January of 1997, I joined the US Army where I served to fulfill my obligation toward my country and was honorably discharged in December of 1999. After pursuing several career options, I decided something was missing in my life. I felt as though I wasn’t doing what the Good Lord intended for me to do, helping people.

I have always had a passion for helping others, whether they were friends or total strangers. Knowing that I helped bring a smile to someone else's face filled me with a kind of satisfaction that I didn’t seem to be getting from any of my other “careers”. Finally, I turned to God and immersed myself in prayer and beseeched him to guide me as to what my purpose in life really was. And surely enough He spoke to me and made me realize that my calling was to help His sons and daughters in the rural areas.

So, on May 9, 2003 Better Days Ministries came to life. It is a certified 501 C3 Non-Profit organization that has received tax exemption status. My organization is geared not to just hand out alms to needy people but to get them the necessary aid to help do away with poverty once and for all instead of perpetuating it.

Thank you for your interest in our organization and may God bless you in all your endeavors.
